With winter right around the corner, your hair is likely to go through some changes \u2014 like dryness and breakage. You don\u2019t want either to happen, so it is best to take the proper steps and use the best products to prevent those issues from happening. Here are step-by-step ways to keep your hair moisturized and healthy with UFD!<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Cleanse!<\/strong> Due to the decrease in temperature, I prefer a mild and gentle co-wash to keep the moisture in my hair, while clarifying your scalp and hair. Bye-Bye Buildup<\/a> from Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter works great for this! It also has a great slip, making it easier to finger detangle because the products melt your tangles away.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Deep conditioning is key!<\/strong> Doing this once a week with a moisturizing deep treatment like the Heal and Renew Intensive Hair Masque<\/a> will help make a huge difference on your hair. It deeply penetrates your hair strands making your curls so soft and moisturized. To intensify the treatment, I sit under my hooded dryer for 15-20 minutes. I then rinse with cool water and my curls look better than ever!<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Style.<\/strong> With many types of curls in the world, certain Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter products combinations work better for others, but I do have a few that are optimal for my hair. Weekly maintenance.<\/strong> Although this product combination will give you long lasting moisture and definition, a few touch ups need to be done throughout the week or until your next wash day. I love to refresh my curls with Defunk Hair Refresher Tonic<\/a> because it gives my hair moisture and it smells amazing! I then grab Curly Magic<\/a>, pump a little on my finger tips and coil my frizzy ends with the gel. This automatically makes my curls look as good as new and the process is fast and easy.
