The heat is on, and the curls are out so, what better way to rock your natural coils than a simple wash n\u2019 go that\u2019ll last you 3-4 days? Wash and go\u2019s are my all-time favorite for the summer because they allow me to shake n\u2019 go through the week with minimal touch ups when using moisturizing products like Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, here\u2019s how you can create a bomb wash n\u2019 go routine ideal for the summer heat in five easy steps using Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter products that you can find at your local RiteAid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0 Co-Wash<\/span><\/p>\n

Because I wash n\u2019 go so frequently, I typically use co-washes in the summer because my hair doesn\u2019t have tons of buildup. I love using Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter\u2019s <\/span>Bye-Bye Buildup<\/span><\/a> Cleansing Conditioner<\/a> to start off my routine by focusing it on my scalp, then distributing the product to the rest of my shaft. What\u2019s perfect about this co-wash is the fact that it doesn\u2019t leave my hair feeling stripped or too squeaky, and I\u2019m able to detangle with ease.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2: Deep Condition\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the co-wash is rinsed out, I follow up with the <\/span>Heal & Renew<\/span><\/a> Intensive Hair Masque<\/a>. You can\u2019t be a hot girl with brittle hair or dry hair. So, take care of yourself and deep condition like the hot girl I know you are! Be sure to focus deep conditioner on your ends since it\u2019s the oldest part of your hair, and cover with a plastic shower cap or grocery bag -hot girls are frugal too- and allow the product to work its magic for at least 30-40 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3: Hydrate\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once I\u2019m all deep conditioned and rinsed, I make sure that my hair is dripping wet so that it can completely absorb the products. I then go in with the <\/span>Thirsty Curls<\/span><\/a> Leave in Curl Revitalizer<\/a> as a base for my style. This product has amazing slip, smells lovely, and will have everyone wondering \u201cwhat did you spray in your hair\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4: Moisturize<\/span><\/p>\n

Never forget this step! Always, always, always, apply a moisturizing hair milk or hair butter. I typically use UFD\u2019s <\/span>Good Hair<\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>but thanks to CEO Renee, I opted to using the <\/span>Extra Butter Curl Forming Cr\u00e8me <\/span><\/a>as my styler for my wash n\u2019 go. Let\u2019s just say, my curls drank this stuff up! It<\/span>\u00a0has great slip, forms curls, and really moisturizes my coils without feeling weighed down or greasy. <\/span><\/p>\n

Step 5: Secure the curls <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Just like \u201csecuring the bag\u201d, you need to secure those curls! I absolutely love using the <\/span>Curly Magic<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Curl Stimulator<\/a> because my curls are super defined, have a beautiful shine, and have a firm hold without a hard crunch.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
