Fall is right around the corner – which means we can say goodbye to the scorching..summer heat! As we get into the cooler seasons, I opt for styles where I can have my hair all the way out – instead of having to frantically search for a scrunchie to pull my hair up! Here are my tips on changing up your look this fall – starting with a blowout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blow Your Hair Out Without Damage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best things about natural hair is its versatility when it comes to styling – from being able to straighten your hair to rocking a big, beautiful blowout. The great news is that Uncle Funky\u2019s Daughter<\/a> has products to help you achieve any of those styles!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand recently launched a new line specifically designed to help protect your hair from heat styling appliances. This line has your shampoo<\/a>, deep conditioner<\/a>, heat protectant spray<\/a>, and split end treatment<\/a> covered! You can now safely incorporate heat styling into your regimen whether you want to straighten your hair or blow it out for various stretched styles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change Up Your Look With A Flexi Rod Set<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My favorite style to rock during the holidays is big, voluminous, soft, glamorous curls! I achieve this look by doing a Flexi rod set on blown-out hair. I recommend the Maximum Thermal Protection<\/a> line to wash, deep condition, and prime your hair before applying heat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once your hair is all blown out – grab small to medium sections and apply a small amount of Supercurl<\/a> and a dab of Curly Magic<\/a> to help set your hair before wrapping it around Flexi rods!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then allow your hair to fully dry overnight or under a hooded dryer before taking down the rods to unveil some faux wand curls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Layer Products For The Change In Temperature<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If the temperature changes drastically where you live, layer up your products to ensure your curls always maintain moisture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I layer products: I first apply a leave-in conditioner, then a hair creme or butter on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Product recommendations in order of application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Midnite Train<\/a> or Thirsty Curls<\/a> Leave-In Conditioner<\/li>
  2. Supercurl<\/a> or Extra Butter<\/a> Hair Creme<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The fall is a great time to change up your hair regimen or try out hairstyles that were hard to maintain in the summer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
