Hello Beauties!\"SumetraReed_Polaroid2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ve always wanted to try a three-strand twist out, but for some reason I strayed away thinking it would be too difficult and would be an epic fail. But this year is all about me trying new things so I stepped out on faith (so to speak) and gave it a try and well, the results speak for themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve this style, I used:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shampoo<\/b> – Squeaky Deep Cleansing Shampoo<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Conditioner<\/b> – Richee Rich Moisturizing Conditioner<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Moisturizing Creme<\/b>\u00a0– Supercurl Miracle Moisture Creme<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Sealant<\/b> – Shining Star Hair & Scalp Elixir<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Styler<\/b> – Curly Magic Curl Stimulator<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Squeaky<\/a><\/b><\/span> is a deep cleansing shampoo that promotes hair growth and helps fight dandruff. After shampooing my hair it felt like my hair had a spa treatment. The tea tree smells great but not heavy. <\/span>R<\/a>ichee Rich <\/a><\/b><\/span>contains shea butter & avocado to soothe dry scalp and the nice creamy consistency makes detangling super simple. I am one who likes to detangle while I am in the shower so slippage is very important and something that I look for when using various products. <\/span>Supercurl <\/a><\/b><\/span>adds moisture and can be used on wet or dry hair. Its lightweight creamy consistency allows the product to function great as a leave in. The <\/span>S<\/a>hining Star<\/a><\/b><\/span> is perfect for adding shine and can be used on the scalp or hair. It’s one of my favorite oils to apply to my hair. It contains two of my favorite oils (jojoba and olive) so it’s perfect to seal in moisture. <\/span>Curly Magic<\/a><\/b><\/span> is just that…MAGIC! It’s a thick custard like creamy consistency but not heavy. What I like moist is even though I was using it to set my hair and provide a soft hold, my curls started to pop and were defined even before I started twisting my hair. Unlike most custard type products, this product did not leave a residue on my hair and didn’t flake. I HIGHLY recommend these products and plan on purchasing more just to make sure I keep some in stock.<\/span><\/p>\n

I washed and conditioned my hair and divided my hair into four sections for easy installation. I applied the Supercurl<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>and Shining Star<\/a><\/strong><\/span> first and then added the Curly Magic<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to each smaller section prior to twisting my hair. To achieve this look, I wants to make sure that even my roots were defined. Because I had never tried this technique before, I watched several tutorials. Some braided at the roots and other twisted at the root. My hair in the front is very loose and I knew that I was going to have to do something a little different. I decided to flat twist at the roots and then three strand twist the rest and finger coil the ends to get the perfect curl. The Curly Magic<\/a><\/strong><\/span> helped my twit and coils to stay in place and were very defined.<\/p>\n

After I installed all of my twist, I allowed my hair to air dry \"Sumetra3\"<\/a>overnight. The next morning, I applied a small amount of Shining Star<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for additional shine and to limit the amount of frizz at take down. It’s important to unravel slowly and carefully to avoid frizz and tangles. After I took down all my twist, I knew that I found a new go-to style! <\/span><\/p>\n

Essentially, there are 3 ways to wear this style: a middle part, a side part w\/hair coming forward or a side part w\/hair going back. I wasn’t a fan of the middle part so I went with the side part but my fave is look three. I added a side part and lifted at the roots to get the desired look. To maintain this style, I slept in a large satin bonnet and fluffed my hair into place the next morning. Tell me ladies, which is your favorite\u00a0look?<\/span><\/p>\n
