Oh Hey! My name is Ginelle and I am a New York City native. Although I have moved to a different state, the hustle mentality in me has remained. Today, I am a master’s graduate, content creator, wife and a mother to three beautiful children: two girls and a baby boy. As a mom of three, my time is split between the children, my husband and my business.

Within each category are elements that require attention such as learning time with the kids, household duties, quality time as a family & time dedicated to building my brand. While holding many hats, it can be easy to wonder how I am able to manage my time and keep my daughter’s hair styled. Well, let me share with you some of my best tips to do that.

As a mother, my time can be limited so strategizing is key. It is important to find a balance between planning and going with the flow. When it comes to washing and styling both of my daughters’ hair, I must be flexible. Since they both have long thick hair, planning proves to be beneficial. On a busy week, designating a day for washing and styling allows me to mentally prepare for it days in advance. Now if I have more free time, I like to go with the flow. This gives me time to be present in the moment throughout the week, without the added pressure of having to complete the task on a specific day. A helpful tip would be detangling their hair the day prior so that step can be avoided during wash day. Lastly, if I am not able to detangle it, I accept it and move on to the next task I have for the day.

However, just as important as it is to dedicate time to washing and styling, the products I choose are essential. The girls both have dry hair so it is vital that I use moisturizing products when styling. My favorite stylers to use on their hair are SuperCurl Miracle Moisture Crème and Good Hair Conditioning Styling Crème. Not only do these creamy stylers make their hair soft, smell good and keeps their strands moisturized but they work on all hair types. My favorite hairstyles on them are braided up dos or box braids because it’s versatile and keeps their hair protected. I also love incorporating two/three strand twists or rubber band linked hairstyles but like most styles, they do not last as long. You can check out my YouTube Channel Krazii Curls to see various hairstyle tutorials I have created on my daughters. Ultimately, I encourage experimenting with different hairstyles to know what will work best for you and your little one’s hair.
