» How do I purchase products from UncleFunkysDaughter.com?

Step One: Add items to your shopping bag
Whenever you see an item on Uncle Funky's Daughter that you are interested in buying, click on the item photograph and a page dedicated to that item will display. You should see an 'add to bag' icon just below the item description. Choose the color, size and/or quantity you prefer from this menu and then click on the 'add to bag' icon. After you put an item in your shopping bag you can either proceed to checkout and purchase the product or continue shopping. You can add as many products to your bag as you like.

Step Two: Checkout
When you decide to buy the items in your bag, click on 'Shopping Bag', located on the upper right-hand of every page on our site. This will begin the checkout process. The first page you see will allow you to modify the quantity of an item or to remove any item from your bag. In the next series of pages you will be asked to type information that will let us know where to send the order, how to send it and how you intend to pay for it. The checkout sequence should take less than two minutes for first time customers. When you order is received successfully, you will receive an order received confirmation on the final page of checkout.

» Is it safe to use my credit card?

We have taken many precautions to insure that shopping at Unclefunkysdaughter.com is safe and secure. We use the industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to ensure that all credit card transactions are secure. The SSL system encrypts information that you submit to us via our Web site when you place an order. Encryption makes it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept information about you, your order, or your credit card information. Please remember that you play a valuable part in security as well. After you have finished using our site, you should log off and exit your browser so no unauthorized persons can use our site with your name and account information.

» What methods of payment do you accept?

Uncle Funky's Daughter accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.

Shipping & Returns

» What are my shipping options?

Customers can choose from a variety of options for shipping. For orders under $49, we partner with United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail and FedEx to ship our products to you. For general customer orders over $49, customers may select our FREE SHIPPING option. *FREE SHIPPING is not available for wholesale orders unless they are over $5,000.  

» How do I check the status of an order?

To check on the status of an order you placed, you can log onto your account area of the Uncle Funky Online Store at any time. Alternatively, please e-mail sales@unclefunkysdaughter.com, and please include your full name and order number in your e-mail.

» How long will it take to get my order?

There are three factors that affect when you will receive your order: The time it takes for the product to leave our warehouse, and the time it takes for your order to be shipped by the carrier. All orders shipping via USPS are shipped within 2-3 business days if received before 12:00 PM CST. All orders shipped via FedEx are shipped within 2-3 business days if received before 4:00 PM CST. 

Orders placed on the weekend are processed and shipped within 2 business days. Once your order leaves our warehouse, the time it takes FedEx or USPS to deliver your order will depend on the type of shipping service you have selected. USPS shipments typically arrive within 1 - 3 days. FedEx shipments typically arrive between 2 - 4 days. 

During a Sale there is always a higher volume of orders, which causes for longer than normal processing and shipping times. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing and 3-4 business days shipping. 

» How do I return an item?

The Uncle Funky's Daughter Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to love everything that you buy from us. However, we will accept returns on items that are unworn, with tickets intact, in un-opened original packaging, accompanied by the original invoice and/or in their original condition and that are not return exclusion items (see below).

ALL return requests must be made ONLY to sales@unclefunkysdaughter.com within 5 business days of receipt. You will be sent a return authorization number via email and must return the item within 5 business days of the receipt of the authorization number. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with our policies. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. We are not responsible for shipping delays or shipping expenses. 

We cannot accept returns of certain items, including:

  • Any hair care products (due to perishability and contamination)
  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, worn or is missing parts
  • Any item that is returned after the return deadline listed above
  • Any product without an authorization number

Refunds for returns shipped after 10 business days from the arrival date are subject to a 50% restocking fee. No returns after 15 days will be accepted.

Please ship all orders prepaid with the items wrapped securely in the original packaging. Items must be in original, un-worn and undamaged condition. We are not liable for items that are not shipped according to these policies or items that are lost or damaged during shipping. We recommend shipping using a service that provides a tracking option. Once the returned item is received and accepted for return, a credit for the price of the returned item(s) will be issued only to the exact credit card used for the purchase; no exceptions. Allow at least 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

You must provide an accurate shipping address and be available to receive your shipments. Undeliverable attempts and returned shipments will incur re-shipment charges.

» Entered incorrect shipping information?

We want to make sure you receive your Funky Good Stuff, so all Funky Junkies must provide an accurate shipping address. Please be certain your address is correct before finalizing your order. We are unable to make address adjustments unless notified in writing, so if you entered the wrong address, you can email the correct shipping address to sales@unclefunkysdaughter.com before your order is shipped and we’d be happy to get that updated. Once shipped, we will not be responsible for the order shipping to the wrong address.

If a package is returned to Uncle Funky’s Daughter due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by a customer, or if the customer was not available for delivery the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the redelivery cost.

Uncle Funky’s Daughter is not responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer. We are also unable to provide a refund if any part of the address is incorrect.

» Have a lost or stolen package?

There are occasions when goodies may go missing. To help avoid that when completing an order, all Funky Junkies must provide a safe and accurate address for delivery. Once an order has shipped, Uncle Funky’s Daughter cannot be held responsible for a lost or stolen package that has a confirmed delivery to the address entered for an order.

Should you find yourself in this unfortunate situation, please contact sales@unclefunkysdaughter.com. We will be happy to provide assistance by sharing carrier details, such as, delivery confirmation, order delivery address, date of delivery, and tracking information for the customer to investigate with the carrier. We are also happy to file a claim on your behalf with the carrier. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any refunds or re-ship a package until a full investigation has been completed by the carrier.

Once an order has shipped and tracking becomes available, we recommend the receiver be available on the estimated date of arrival of the package or the receiver to contact the carrier to schedule a pickup at the holding facility.

» Have a damaged or defective product?

We have all seen how carriers love to toss boxes around when handling packages and it’s unfortunate they can’t strap them in with a seat belt to keep our precious cargo from bouncing around. In the instance of you receiving damaged or defective Funky Good Stuff, we will be happy to assist you by replacing the damaged or defective product(s).

Please contact Uncle Funky’s Daughter at sales@unclefunkysdaughter.com and submit photo images of the damage or defective product(s) for further assistance.

Our product line was founded out of customer necessity. Textured hair customers desire superior product performance without sacrificing natural ingredients and our products offer both.

» Do you perform testing on animals?

No. All Uncle Funky’s Daughter products are only tested on people. The Uncle Funky’s Daughter Corporation is a proud member of PETA and is thoroughly committed to the eradication of animal testing.

» What hair types are your products for?

Our products are formulated exclusively for the textured hair care market - kinky, wavy and curly textures. They are paraben-free, developed with the most natural, organic ingredients possible and are never tested on animals.

» Will Curly Magic work on my hair?

Curly Magic works best on hair that is curly when it’s wet. The product is NOT a chemical and will not alter the texture of your hair. It will add shine, eliminate frizz, define, elongate and provide a firm hold to your curls.

Funky Fact: If your hair is curly when it’s wet, but dries more like a kinky fro, Curly Magic will lock in that curly look all day.
