When I think of being a boss mom, one word comes to mind; resilience!

When I was younger, my nurturing disposition constantly had me dreaming of being a mom later in life. In addition to this part of me, I was always looking for ways I can have my own company. I definitely get that from my mom! Eventually I became a mom at the young age of 18 and even though I was nervous for the unknown of my future I knew I would prevail. I knew I had a purpose in life and would see it through no matter my circumstances.
I shortly found out two years later after my second son was born that my purpose IS helping others. Initially, I thought being a healthcare provider was in my path but, through multiple breakthrough moments I finally saw that my calling was helping people by seeing their true beauty. I found showing other women how to care for and style their natural hair as a way to bring out a deep rooted confidence that was often buried within.

Receiving so much constant positive feedback, I was motivated to continue making more informative content, so I started taking my purpose seriously. My two sons at the time gave me so much fulfillment and I knew I was in the right place mentally, emotionally, and physically. Living my purpose very thoughtfully while being a mother gave me the ultimate fulfillment! It was at this moment I continued to give momentum to my life as a mom and my career. I was very successful in both areas of my life and decided to turn my social media presence into my brand and eventually had two more children.

Remembering my dreams of motherhood and why I started to build my brand keep me driven everyday in knowing what my goals in life are. This path has definitely had its ups and downs but staying down is never an option. I have enjoyed being a mom to four children and seeing them grow into the wonderful people they are is so inspirational. I have also enjoyed being an entrepreneur and being my own boss, no more being micro managed and having to ask for a break!
I will say that good time management and organization are a plus when it comes to being a boss mom. Be true to you, and your purpose will make sense and become more effortless!
