You know what they say… April showers bring May Flowers, but I mean it in the BEST way! All of the preparing and sowing that occurred last month is blooming as we continue 2019 putting our best foot forward in the natural haircare industry.
In the past 30 days, Uncle Funky’s Daughter has attended three huge trade shows specializing in curly hair, and thanks to you all, they were ALL amazing. BeautyCon New York was a first for us, but our Funky Junkies made the experience one to remember, and we definitely wish to meet you all once again! Bronner Bros was held in the awesome city of New Orleans this year, and was a large and exciting production ALL around. We even had the pleasure of working with Her Given Hair, displaying how protective styling with curly extensions doesn’t have to be bland… UFD products work for any style! Last, but not least, we made our annual appearance at Taliah Waajid’s World Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, once again, and are very proud to be a returning vendor for such an awesome show!
There are also some WONDERFUL deals we offer at trade shows, like full sized products priced at 2 for $20 and back-bar/salon sizes on sale for 50% off! These are deals you can not beat for such awesome products, and the good news is, we’ll be doing MANY more shows in 2019. Next stop: HUE New York!
Uncle Funky’s Daughter is also participating in something very special in our home town of Houston, Texas! Our NBA finals team, the Rockets, are hosting a wonderful program for small business in the area such as ours, where we have the opportunity to showcase a little of what we do and see what some other brands are working on in our city. I am honored to announce we are finalists in the Launchpad Competition, and voting continues through May 3rd!
