The holidays are right around the corner! When you’re stuck in a style rut or rushing to get ready, it’s very tempting to go for the usual twist out, slick back bun, or wash and go but I urge you to test out some new funky holiday hairstyles! Tis’ the season to switch up your hair and recreate this easy holiday hairstyle for curls.
I always love an easy hairstyle, especially one that is a great go-to look for the holidays! You can find so many beautiful naturally curly styles by searching #naturalhairstyles on all social media platforms. My favorites to use are Pinterest and YouTube! That is how I found this beautiful updo. It’s perfect to command the room at get-togethers, events, and parties.
Step 1: Create your curly puff.
This updo hairstyle can be done on a twist-out or braid-out. Simply refresh your hair by using a good leave-in conditioner like Thirsty Curls, then apply the Supercurl moisture creme, and add water if needed. Brush hair to the crown of your head to create a high curly puff and secure it with a scrunchie.
Step 2: Add your twist bangs.
Part two small sections in the front of your head to create two twists. You will need to wet the pieces and use a small amount of your favorite gel or foam before twisting (I use Curly Magic by Uncle Funky’s Daughter.) There should be one twist on the left side and one on the right side. Get a few of your favorite silver or gold hair accessories and add them to the twist at the front. Don’t forget to lay down your edges with your favorite edge control & BAM! You have a new fun, easy holiday look.
