Time Is Ticking : How Do You Manage It?

Helecia creates time to relax when feeling overwhelmed.

During this time of the year, children are heading back to school, schedules are constantly changing, traffic is picking up and we are bombarded with projects that we can’t seem to finish. It can be difficult to juggle multiple tasks at once without feeling overwhelmed or like you have enough hours in the day. I often hear people complain and say, “I just don’t have enough time!” Time is available, depending on how you use it. Here are some time management tips to help control your overall health and hair with a hectic schedule.

Tip 1: Relax

The worse thing that you can do is stress yourself out. Stress takes a toll on your overall health and can cause complications in the future. It can also result in immediate anxiety which normally ends in panic attacks.  When you feel overwhelmed, try to develop methods that help you relax. I usually take a walk, get some fresh air and practice various breathing patterns. Listening to music, furthermore, seems to aid in calming my nerves to that I can focus and think clearly. You want these strategies to be simple enough to use in virtually any situation. 

Tip 2: Plan and Prepare

Most of us are aware of our weekly schedule and it becomes a routine for us, with the exceptions of a few unexpected turns here and there. You have to plan accordingly and allow down time in between unforeseen occurrences. I wouldn’t recommend to ever over load your schedule. It’s imperative to be honest with yourself in what you can and can not accomplish during any given time period. Once you are comfortable completing those tasks in a timely manner, you can slowly begin to add more. If it ever feels like it’s too much, take a break and communicate that with anyone that may be affected by it.

Tip 3: Create a Routine

We have to maintain our health or our bodies will eventually crash. Health encompasses mental, physical, and emotional wellness.  When we look good, we feel good! Take pride in your hair and skincare routines. I have a very simple procedure with staple products.
