Discovering the Magic in Curly Magic!

As a naturalista with (as Uncle Funky’s Daughter would say) “Well Put Together” curls, I’ve found it can be sort of difficult to find a curl definer that works for my type of hair. Women with looser curl patterns sometimes have an easier time finding a gel that defines their ringlets, and I want that same kind of definition for my curls! I’ve found that in UFD’s Curly Magic Curl Stimulator.

Curly Magic has so many great qualities and ingredients! I love that it has a short, simple composition that WORKS. One of my favorite ingredients that I look for in products is Aloe Vera, because, fact is, using Aloe Vera based products on your hair provides so many benefits. Its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the scalp, preventing dryness and itchiness. Best believe this will come in handy year round as our scalps tend to act funny when the seasons change.

Now lets talk about pH Balance, because this is important when it comes to hair growth.

If the pH balance of your hair is not leveled, it can be a source to your natural hair woes. It can honestly be the reason why your twist outs don’t look the same anymore. Aloe vera can help you maintain the pH balance of your hair. The normal pH of your scalp is 5.5, which makes it fall on the acidic side. The pH level in aloe vera gel is 4.5. Many commercial hair products, especially shampoos, contain surfactants which can alter the pH of your scalp and hair because they are alkaline in nature. This can cause damaged and frizzy hair. Aloe Vera helps you restore your scalp’s pH balance, which promotes healthier and better hair. That’s all we ask for in life.
