As a mother of four, life can be hectic, with the sun signaling the start of a new day and the alarm clock ringing to wake me up. Juggling daily challenges such as caring for my children, managing work responsibilities, and maintaining my marriage can be tough. However, my faith is a crucial factor in helping me remain centered amidst the chaos. It enables me to maintain a positive outlook and a balanced approach to both my personal and professional life. Over time, I’ve discovered numerous methods to shift my mindset and improve my work ethic. Here are 3 tips to help moms transform their work and family life.

1. Make sure your cup is full.
One of the daily mantras I live by is to give myself what I need to ensure that my cup is full. Without taking care of yourself, it becomes difficult to have the energy to care for others. Therefore, I prioritize taking time for myself 2-3 times a week to engage in activities that bring me joy, such as a relaxing soak in the bathtub. During these “me” moments, I check in with myself and explore new ways to uplift my spirits. I encourage you to also find simple things throughout the week that help you unwind.
2. Create productive bonding moments with family.
As a working mom of four, it can be overwhelming trying to form a deep and meaningful relationship with my children. It can be difficult to create family bonding time when you have household chores that need to be done after work. However, I’ve found that including them in my daily tasks, such as cooking, laundry, working out, and cleaning the house, can create special bonding moments that we can cherish for generations. It also helps me relieve stress and lighten my daily workload.
For example, invite your partner and children into the kitchen to help you cook. Assign each of them simple tasks required for the meal. This creates a very special bonding moment. Especially at the end when you are enjoying the food you prepared as a family. The same goes for laundry and other cleaning tasks. Find fun and engaging ways to get things done and get in some much-needed family time!

3. Break up your hair care routine into stages.
In addition to visualizing how I want my day to go, I also make a to-do list of tasks that need to be completed. This list helps me stay organized and ensures that I don’t forget anything important. I also try to schedule my day in a way that allows me to prioritize my most important tasks during my peak energy levels, which for me is usually in the morning.
