As UFD continues to grow, we appreciate every single one of you who uses our products! We’ve also had the privilege of working with some dazzling curly girls out there who help us ALL out with styling ideas and getting our hair together, including this beauty, @TiffanyNicholsDesign! The natural hair industry has grown immensely, and we’re happy to have Foxy Mamas like her on our team fabulously educating the social media world. We sat down to learn a little more about Tiffany, her natural hair journey and her fave UFD products!
Her natural hair journey began in 2009 when she first discovered YouTube and watched a user cut all of her long, relaxed hair because she was making the decision to embrace her natural texture. She was so intrigued by her decision to let it all go that decided she wanted to do the same! She decided to transition for over a year and cut the remaining relaxer in November 2010.
“Being natural has allowed me to be super creative with my hairstyles,” she says. “I’ve done pretty much any style you can think of: from braids, twists, updos, roller sets, etc… I even went through a phase of keeping my hair colored for over 2 years. Over the last 2 years, I’ve kept my hairstyles very simple so you will typically see me rocking a bun, a banded ponytail, or a wash and go any day of the week.”
Similar to a lot of our stories, Tiffany was inspired to become a part of the natural hair community, and has made a job of doing the same for other women out there on the internet! She actually discovered UFD in 2015 through social media, and became one of our first Foxy Mama Brand Ambassadors later that year. Because of her extensive, nearly five year tenure with us, Tiffany has established a few of her fave products from the line and uses for them.
“I love the Midnite Train Leave-In Conditioner; that spray leave is by far one of the best,” she says. “I use it on freshly washed and conditioned hair before styling and l love to use it to refresh my hair for my slick back styles and wash and gos. I also love Supercurl and Extra Butter, they give my hair much needed moisturize, they help to soften my hair, and give me good definition if l am doing a twist-out or braid-out. PS: They are amazing when combined with Curly Magic!”
In between wash days or after the gym, Tiffany uses our Defunk Odor Neutralizing Tonic on a normal basis to keep her hair fresh!
“[Defunk] really is ‘Febreze’ for hair! If I’ve been outside or have worked out and my head has been sweating, I will spray that on my hair to freshen it up and l always get compliments on how good my hair smells.”
Tiffany is always on the go, and we’re pleased to know UFD helps her along on her day-to-day hair routine, and essentially, help others! She left us with a mantra that keeps her going: “You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously,” and what better way to go about life and be an inspiration!

Yesss to this! Tiffany introduced me to these products at the Ubiquitous Expo and I’m forever thankful because I would’ve never knew my hair would love these products. Midnite train indeed is my fav and the slip on that with curly majic is superb. Can’t wait to try the bye bye buildup
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a Mantra but the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 is a scripture I hold very dear . It always reminds me there is a plan and a purpose for me even when life gets dark and rough.
Now as far as these products I’ve always admired Tiffany’s slick back! Her hair is always goals, so I will definitely be adding to my product collection.
