“Oh, the places you’ll go,” rings in my mind as I reflect on the awesome year UFD has had in 2019! This year has been such a fruitful one and as always, I’d like to dedicate some time to express gratitude to you, our Faithful Funky Junkies and let you in on some things we have planned for 2020!
Thanks to our growing customer base and your loyalty to your #GoodFunkyStuff, we’ve expanded even more to national retailers such as Wegman’s Grocery & Kroger and some of our other partners including Target and CVS have added more stores to their lists that now carry UFD. As you all may know, I took over Uncle Funky’s Daughter in 2014, had a love for these awesome products of which I had been a fan for years, and made it my mission to launch them on a national level because more people needed to get their hands on them!

In 2016, our products launched in 300 Target stores, our first national retail partner, and we remain on those shelves today in over 1400 stores! In 2018, we launched in three more national retailers, including Walmart, CVS and Riteaid and we are growing more and more leading into 2019. In the coming months, expect a few more to be added to that list!
Aside from our growth in that aspect, we’ve grown as a team and have also continued our charitable initiatives to contribute to our communities… Another reason I’m extremely proud of all Uncle Funky’s Daughter is. To kick off 2019, we sponsored products to Funky Junkies in need during the federal government shutdown, so not one curl had to suffer. We’re happy to help families all over the nation with their curly hair needs! We wrapped up the year with the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk sponsored by the American Cancer Society, by walking as a team here in our hometown, Houston, Texas!

Because of the strong love and support of our brand, our goal is to ensure that we help where we can and do so with the inherited pride of all our Funky Junkies!
Lastly, I can’t forget how our squad of brand ambassadors — Foxy Mamas, Dynamite Divas and our micro-influencing partners — really showed the world how to get down with UFD! All the inventive ways to use our products, positive and inviting presence at our trade show appearances, and illustrating the message of UFD across social media were executed by them, and I’m forever grateful for all their hard work.
It’s important to reflect on each year to get a grasp of what’s really in store for the next, and 2020 is looking pretty bright from where we’re standing, thanks to you. So, here’s to 2019 & continued growth, love and Curly Magic.
