Women’s history month is not just another celebratory occasion for social media. The month of March is dedicated to women around the world who fought for woman’s rights. In 1981 Congress passed a bill that acknowledges March 7th as Women’s History Week. Fast forward to today, we have a whole month dedicated to highlighting the achievements of women worldwide. Unbeknownst to many, Congress first declared Women’s History Month in 1987. During this month we celebrate the significance of these women who have overcome obstacles and used their platform to help others.
Women have become entrepreneurs, anthropologists, teachers, doctors, and lawyers due to this movement. As years began to pass, you are starting to see younger girls breaking glass ceilings and making a name for themselves. Who would’ve guessed that a 13-year-old by the name of Marsai Martin could be a television producer. Strong women like Oprah, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Serena are using their titles to be of service to others. They are using their gifts to give back and their finances to fund schools.
You don’t need to tell us women are not out here giving the man a run for his money.
Women are paving the way for generations behind them. I have listed someone innovative women who didn’t inherit wealth but worked for every dime they have.
