We are half way through the year and it’s the perfect time to reset and re-evaluate all of those goals that you made at the start of the year. If you all are anything like me, you probably get down on yourself at some points throughout the year because you haven’t met some of those goals that you set for yourself. I am going to share with you my 5 tips to reset & re-evaluate your goals mid-year.
1. Focus on the goals that are most important to you.
In some cases we may have set a ton of goals at the start of the year and as we are working on accomplishing those goals we realize that we may need to scale it back or put more focus on our top goals. By doing so, we are able to focus on reaching them.
2. Check in with your accountability partner.
Whether it’s a friend or family member, if you haven’t found an accountability partner, having one is very beneficial. Checking in with someone weekly or biweekly can give you an extra boost mentally and help you stay on track with your goals. You’re not only helping yourself by having an accountability partner, you’re also helping your partner.
3. Take a look back at your vision board that you made at the start of the year.
Sometimes we need a reminder of those goals that we set. I love the feeling of looking back at my vision boards and seeing the goals that I set for myself and all that I have accomplished thus far. Looking at my vision board reminds me of those goals that I set and makes me think about what I need to do to reach them in the last half of the year.
4. Read a motivational book.
There is no better way to reset than reading a book that will help give you some motivation. I find that daily reading from a motivational book for about 10 minutes helps to give me that boost that I need to keep working towards my goals.
5. Take it easy on yourself.
A lot of times we get so down on ourselves because we haven’t met some of those goals that we set at the start of the year. Don’t get so down on yourself that you forget about all that you have accomplished so far. Just remember , you aren’t in the same place you were 6 months ago. You have indeed made some growth so give yourself a pat on the back for that!
I hope that you found my 5 tips for how to reset and re-evaluate your goals helpful. Let me know if you do some of these things already or if any of them are new for you.
